‘Please Don’t Wear Your Pajamas To Our Store’

Sleepy shoppers have been asked to refrain from wearing their bedtime attire to the shops to ‘avoid causing embarrassment to others’

A morale-depleting notice read:

‘to avoid causing embarrassment to others, we ask that our customers are appropriately dressed when visiting the store.

‘sleepwear/payamas [sic] is not permitted.’

Happy shoppers have told the Ministry of Morale that the sight of urine stains when shopping for food has made them want to throw-up.

Our Chief Morale Officer said:

“Popping to the shops in your ‘payamas’ has long been a tradition of both night-shift workers and people who like to stay indoors during the day.

“However, it would appear that some shops have decided to put a stop to this practice owing to the complaints of other shoppers.

“We are pleased to announce that anyone wishing to go shopping wearing absolutely nothing will still be allowed to buy their bread while being in the buff.

“If you know someone who tends to go to the shop in their PJ’s then you might want to make them aware of this announcement.

“Especially if that person works night shifts and has a tendency to forget what day it is, let alone where they are/what time it is”.

The Ministry of Morale can also confirm that shops located within hospitals will be exempt from these new rules.

  • This actually happened in our local Tesco, and in our local ASDA topless shopping was outlawed because of the number of sweating, shirtless men going into the shop
