‘Aggressive Spider’ Prank Causing Multiple Morale Failures At Work
The Ministry of Morale has been investigating a new prank that seems to be causing multiple morale failures in the ‘victims’ of the prank whilst at the same time increasing the morale of those who carry out the prank as well as witnesses.
The prank involves leaving a cup out, turned upside down, with the warning:
‘huge aggressive spider under cup…!
‘Do not pick up until ready to squish it’
A hole is then made in the cup, with little bits of plastic left on the outside of the hole thus indicating that the ‘aggressive spider’ has escaped and is on the loose in the office.
It has been reported to our morale agents that staff are then randomly setting fire to their offices in the hope of ‘flushing’ the non-existent spider out.
In particular, men and women who have a fear of spiders have been reporting morale failures lasting several hours having been the victim of the prank.
Some are even reporting that they have been able to sleep in their offices owing to the fear of being attacked by a spider that has enough intelligence to bore a hole in the side of a cup without being able to just tip the plastic cup over.
Talking about the situation, our Chief Morale Officer said:
“We are asking people not to share this idea with their colleagues, just in case they try it out at work and end up causing multiple morale failures.
“We are also warning citizens to be on the lookout for the signs that the prank has been set up in their workplace, so they can prevent themselves from becoming a victim of the prank and from suffering a huge morale failure.

The Ministry of Morale is committed and dedicated to trying to increase the morale of all citizens all over the world. Please note, that our articles are satirical. We have to add this, as some citizens missed out when common sense was being handed out.
If you have experienced a sudden morale failure or a sudden drop in morale, for whatever reason, then we would invite you to make a 3 minute VLOG explaining what the morale failure is, when it happened, what you think is responsible for the morale failure and any other information which you think we should know about.
We would then invite you to send the video into us, so that we can share it with the general public.
Your fellow citizens will then be able to leave comments on the video giving you their advice and wisdom. Please note, that the video must be at least 3 minutes long, must not contain any profanities and/or nudity.
